Why Book Your Transfer in Advance

Booking ahead costs the same as booking on the spot. What it buys you is the removal of every variable that could go wrong on the day.

1. The car will be there

The obvious one, and the one that matters most at 4am. Demand is not evenly spread: Friday nights, festival weekends, the first day of a school holiday and the hours after late flights all produce more requests than there are cars. A booking made in advance is a car assigned to you.

2. A fixed price, with no surprises

When you book, the price is agreed and does not change — not if we hit traffic, not if the route turns out longer, not if it is a public holiday. There is no meter to watch and nothing to negotiate at the destination.

This matters most on intercity routes, where the difference between a fixed price and an open-ended meter can be substantial.

3. Collection from your door

An advance booking means an exact address and an exact time, not an approximate one. For hotel pick-ups, airport arrivals and anywhere hard to find, this is the difference between a smooth start and ten minutes of phone calls.

4. The driver arrives prepared

Knowing the journey in advance means the right vehicle for your luggage, a child seat if you asked for one, space for skis or a bicycle, and a driver who already knows the route. None of that can be arranged in the two minutes after you call.

5. Essential for long journeys

For anything over a hundred kilometres, advance booking is not really optional. A long transfer needs planning around your departure time, and for airport runs it needs to be built backwards from your flight. It also lets us agree a package price for a return trip, which is almost always better value than two separate bookings.

How far ahead should you book?

• City rides: a few hours is enough on a normal day; the evening before for a Friday or Saturday night
• Airport transfers: when you book the flight, or at least a day ahead
• Intercity transfers: one to two days
• Long routes and other airports (Budapest, Otopeni, Vienna): three to four days
• Events, weddings, groups: as early as possible — weekends in high season fill up
• Festival periods (Untold, Electric Castle, TIFF): weeks ahead, particularly for night returns
