Distance and driving time

Around 105 km, covered in 1 hour to 1h30. The route takes the A3 motorway to Campia Turzii, then the DN15 through Ludus and Iernut.

More than half the distance is motorway, and the rest is a well-maintained national road with few towns to cross. The only predictable delays are leaving Cluj at rush hour and, occasionally, in Ludus.

The airport connection

What to see

The Palace of Culture, with its stained-glass Hall of Mirrors, is the reason most visitors stop. The central square and the medieval citadel are within walking distance. If you are continuing east, the Szekely Land opens up towards Sovata and the Praid salt mine.
