From the plane to the slopes in just over an hour
Muntele Baisoara is the closest ski resort to Cluj, around 55 km from the airport. The drive takes an hour to an hour and 20 minutes and passes through Savadisla, on the road climbing to the resort plateau. The final stretch is mountain road, and in winter we drive on winter tyres at reduced speed — which is why our time estimate includes some slack.
