The Bride Veil waterfall
Rachitele is the village from which you set out for the Bride Veil waterfall, one of the best known falls in the Apuseni Mountains. From Cluj it is around 75 km, covered in an hour and a half to an hour and 50 minutes: the DN1 to Huedin, then a county road climbing the valley.
Getting to the waterfall
From Rachitele the route continues on a forest road to the point where the footpath begins. That final stretch can be difficult for an ordinary car, especially after rain; we take you as far as is safely possible and the rest is a 20–30 minute easy walk uphill. Tell us when booking if you want to get as high as possible.
