The commune on the hill
Feleacu sits on the hill of the same name, at the exit from Cluj towards Turda, around 12 km from the centre — 15 to 25 minutes of driving on the DN1. The area has grown considerably in population in recent years, thanks to its closeness to the city and the view over Cluj.
Climbing Feleac
The DN1 climbs the hill in wide bends, and at peak hours the queue forms quickly, especially in the morning heading down into the city. In winter the climb can be difficult on ice; we run winter tyres, but on snowy days we allow extra time.
