From the runway to Turda in under an hour
Cluj-Napoca International Airport sits on the eastern edge of the city, at Someseni. Heading to Turda we take the ring road and then the A3 motorway, without crossing the congested centre of Cluj. It is around 42 km, covered in 40 to 55 minutes depending on when you land.
Why not public transport
There is no direct link from the airport to Turda. Without a car you would take a bus or taxi into central Cluj, then a minibus from the bus station to Turda, dragging your luggage and waiting between the two legs — two to three hours in total. A private transfer reduces that to a single door-to-door ride, at the time you land rather than the time the next minibus leaves.
