About this route
Cluj-Napoca – Ocna Mureș Transfer

The road from Cluj-Napoca to Ocna Mureș
The roughly 85 km take 1h – 1h 15min: the A3/A10 motorway with the exit near Unirea, then a few kilometres to Ocna Mureș, the salt town on the banks of the Mureș river. The drive is fast — mostly motorway — which makes the destination more accessible than it seems.
What you will find at Ocna Mureș
- A modern spa complex — built over the collapsed former salt mines, with highly concentrated salt-water pools to a brand-new standard; one of the most recent spa projects in Transylvania
- High salinity — the water of the mine lakes keeps you afloat effortlessly, much like at Ocna Sibiului
- Fewer crowds — being newer on the map, the complex is noticeably quieter than Cojocna or Turda on summer weekends
- Aiud and Alba Iulia nearby — Aiud is 20 km away and Alba Iulia 35 km, for one-day combinations
Tips for the Cluj – Ocna Mureș transfer
- One-day package: morning departure, evening return at a set time — the price per car split between 4 people stays affordable
- Check the complex's opening hours before you set off, especially in the off-season
- Combine with the Alba Carolina citadel: a swim in the morning, the citadel in the afternoon — a full day with less than 40 km between the two sights
- Groups: for more than 4 people, several cars departing at the same time
A new route in our portfolio, with growing demand since the spa complex opened — book a day ahead for summer weekends.
