Jidvei is one of the best known wine regions in Romania, with organised tastings at the winery and the Bethlen-Haller Castle at Cetatea de Balta nearby. From Cluj it is around 135 km, covered in 2 to 2 hours 30 minutes: the A3 to Campia Turzii, then south-east through the Tarnave country.
