About this route
Cluj-Napoca – Stâna de Vale Transfer
We provide private taxi transfer services on the Cluj-Napoca – Stâna de Vale route. The total distance is about 138 km, and the estimated travel time is 2 h 30 – 3 h in normal traffic conditions.
The resort in the Bihor Mountains
Stana de Vale is a mountain resort set above 1,100 metres, in an area known for clean air, springs and high rainfall — hence its exceptionally lush vegetation. From Cluj it is around 150 km, covered in 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours.
The route
We take the DN1 westwards through Huedin and Ciucea, then drop towards Beius and climb the road into the resort. The final part is mountain road with hairpins; in winter the pace slows and the journey can take 30 minutes longer.
What to do there
- Hiking to the Iadolina waterfall and the surrounding ridges
- Skiing on the resort slope in the cold season
- Treatment and rest — the area is recommended for respiratory conditions
- Izvorul Minunilor, the spring nearby
Why a private transfer
Public transport means a train or coach to Beius and then an infrequent local service. For a short weekend, the time lost on changes often outweighs the price difference. A direct transfer takes you to your accommodation, at your own time.
Price
From 680 lei per car for up to 4 passengers with luggage. The return leg can be booked for your departure day. For groups, see the 17-seat minibus.
